1982 Seiko Silverwave Quartz Pinstripe Dial (8229-700A)

Seiko's Silverwave models from the early 80s incorporate features of Seiko divers (screwback case with double wave insignia, screwdown crown) in a more sleek and sporty look, and this 8229 variant is no exception. The dial is finished in a lovely pinstripe pattern and features a bilingual kanji/english calendar, applied baton indices and Seiko Quartz insignia.

In good working condition, keeping time well. case has dings and wear as pictured. Dial has some discoloration around the edge. Some light dings to the crystal that don't quite show in my studio photos, so I've uploaded an extra photo that shows it a little better. Fitted to the original jubilee bracelet sized for an approx 19cm wrist with no extra links.
