1981 Seiko Silverwave Quartz Day-Date (8229-8000)

Seiko's Silverwave models from the early 80s incorporate features of Seiko divers (screwback case with double wave insignia, screwdown crown) in a more sleek and sporty look, and this 8229 day-date variant is no exception. The original metallic texture dial has developed a handsome patina and features a bilingual kanji/english calendar, applied baton indices and Seiko Silverwave insignia.

In good working condition, keeping time well. Case and bezel have standard wear and tear, caseback has some tool marks. Crystal has light to moderate scratching and pitting consistent with age. Fitted to the original bracelet sized for an approx 19cm wrist with no extra links.
