1981 Seiko Silverwave JDM Quartz Day-Date Vintage Wristwatch (8229-6040)

Seiko's Silverwave models from the early 80s incorporate features of Seiko divers (screwback case with double wave insignia, screwdown crown) in a more sleek and sporty look, and this 8229 variant is no exception. The dial is finished in a lovely textured white and features a bilingual kanji/english calendar, a 24 hour chapter ring and applied block indices.

8229 quartz movement is keeping good time and working as expected. In good condition - case has surface wear but no major damage. Some light marking to the crystal that doesn't quite show in my studio photos, so I've uploaded an extra photo that shows it a little better. Fitted to an aftermarket black leather strap.
