1982 Seiko Silverwave JDM Quartz Day-Date (8229-7040)

Seiko's Silverwave models from the early 80s incorporate the case features of Seiko divers (screwback case with double wave insignia, 4 o'clock screwdown crown) in a more sleek and sporty look, and this 8229 variant is no exception. The dial is finished in a lovely textured white and features a bilingual kanji/english calendar, applied baton indices and applied Seiko Quartz insignia.

8229 quartz movement is keeping good time and working as expected. In good condition - case and bracelet have dings and wear as pictured. Fitted with a new domed crystal - the original crystal can be included upon request. Fitted to the original bracelet sized for an approx 17.5cm wrist with no extra links.
